Past Events

The Christmas Dinner was held Dec. 10, 2011 at the Fireside Inn, Strasburg. There were approximately 43 people who attended. 'MG Enthusiast of the Year ' went to Larry Ciarrocca. Sally Harbold won best dressed for the 2nd year in a row for her German umpahs at Pittsburgh. We sang songs and Joan Martin wrote a new version of the 12 days of Chritmas which was fun. The food was great and also the company and the weather co-operated. We again donated to the Toys for Tots.

Crab Run - October 16, 2011. LANCO members met at Valley View Resturant to caravan to Woody's Crab House, North East, MD. It was a beautiful day for a drive. We arrived at noon. Those who went were Gloria & Larry Ciarrocca, Kay & Andy Myers, Jon & Edie Arndt, Chalie Baldwin, Bruce & Sue Hurley, Bob & Margaret Arlotto, Tom & Mary Lynne Naples, Dennis & Carol Blevins, Tim & Joan Martin, and Brooks Thompson & Andrea. You could not ask for a nicer day and everyone has a nice time.

Hunt Country British Car Show - Oct. 9, 2011 in Middleburg, Va. Perfect weather made this years show a record breaker with 280 cars, with only 5 pre-register no shows. This is the first time I attend this show and I look forward to going again. It is in scenic horse farm country and an easy drive from PA. LANCO members made a good showing with 4 cars. Members attended were Gloria and Larry Ciarrocca, Norm and Sue Wright, Dick and Carol Wachtman, and Ralph Spayd. Neal and Sue Becker were there with their MGB in the sell area.

LANCO also had three 1st place winners.

MG's on the Rocks - Sept. 24, 2011 LANCO again took largest club. Other winners were Premeir Class Gloria Ciarrocca took 2nd place with her 1970 MGB, and also was given a special surprise as the winner of the Richard Murphy award "Best overall MGB of Rock 2011".

British Car Festival - Sept. 10 & 11, 2011. Club members who attended were Gloria and Larry Ciarrocca, Dick and Carol Wactman, Alen and Carol Tucker. It was lots of fun with very friendly host. There was a funkanna on Saturday along with a beautiful scenic 50 mile drive, and pork dinner with loads of desserts after the drive. Sunday was the car show which included tickets for DelGrosso Park, free miniature golf, free ice cream, box with 4 DelGrosso jars of sauce and a BBQ chicken dinner. What a deal. John Twist was there to answer any questions or help with any technical problem. This is a great event with very friendly people, worth attending.
